(Dear Galileo)
Dear Galileo, a movie inspired well of course none other than the genius Galileo Galilee. He once said that objects falling from the same height even with different weight will fall at the same time.
The story revolves around two girls, a heart-broken one and the other is university suspended. Because of their failures in life, they decided to venture out in a place where they are not known. Without any further planning, they flew to Europe and unfolds a different kind of adventure.
Noon (Jarinporm Junkiet) and Cherry (Chutima 'Tai' Teepanart)
The words of a heart broken:
Noon (Jarinporm Junkiet): Have you ever felt, you didn't want to pick up? But want to know, is it him? I did erase his name from my list. So I will forget he calls.
Cherry (Chutima Teepanart): But if we can do the scariest thing. We don't have to be scared on anything forever.
Bungee JumpingWithout knowing what's going to be their fate in a foreign land and with the fact of leaving their loved ones, they still stick with their decision on their so-called adventure. In my opinion, the two protagonist depicts the youth nowadays, the act of being impulsive. When they don't get what they want, they'll find a way to get away from it and let just live their life.
It does shows how it is hard leaving someone you love
Heartfelt
Their first stop, London. For me, living in London would be a dream. This is were the riches lives. Very high cost of living and oh.. I can have a chance to see my Harry Potter idols. The movie covered how do Thai people cope up with the English life. How they deal with work, the usual Thai hospitality, showing the life of illegal workers and how they run from immigration. So much about typical life and pretty much giving advices on it's audience if they have plans to do the same thing.
The Poo Stick
They left London after learning it's beauty and life in it. Then they went to Paris money left-handed. At this point, they lost trust at each other. Noon found Tum (Ray McDonald) which enlightened him about surviving life. Tum also introduced Cherry to his future employer which led her on achieving her dreams in Italy as an architect.
(Cherry in the bathroom, facial expression is a lol.)
"Don't worry I am engaged"
Cherry(Chutima) and Noon(Jarin)
"Bond of friendship"
Cherry(Chutima) alone in Italy
They did reunite again after some time. Noon with Tum and Cherry being successful with her career.
Dear Galileo
Noon's message to Cheery: Who is homesick?
Overall, the movie teaches a lot of real life applicable lessons. Even though it centers Thai nationalities, the scenario is also applicable to those countries who also work overseas. Most of the scenes here are happening in real life and should be avoided. I think the writer/director are trying to open up people's mind on what is happening to people who do impulse decision and such. I hope this serves a lesson for all of us. Great job for everyone in this movie.
